Wetaskiwin Regional Airport Master Plan

The City of Wetaskiwin has retained HM Aero Aviation Consulting to conduct a study to assess the future economic and development potential of the Wetaskiwin Regional Airport. Based on industry best practices, research, and feedback gathered from key airport tenants, businesses, and organizations in Phase 1 of the project, the consultant team is developing a Mid-Summary Project Report. The Report includes research completed to date on the Airport’s role, growth opportunities, and regional context, as well as the preliminary investments to support the feasible and sustainable growth of the airport.

Now, the City would like to gather feedback on the Master Plan process from key airport tenants, businesses, adjacent landowners, and the public. Feedback received will be considered by the City and consultant team and used to refine and finalize the Master Plan for future engagement, City Council review, and approval.
