Public Hearing for Bylaw 2095-25 to amend Land Use Bylaw 1804-13

You are invited to provide input on Bylaw 2095-25. This bylaw makes minor amendments to the Land Use Bylaw in three areas:

1. Updates language related to application timelines to match the Municipal Government Act;

2. Eliminates development permit requirements for temporary event signage that meets the guidelines in the Land Use Bylaw;

3. Clarifies the development permit requirements for solar panels and exempts most solar panel projects from a development permit.

Bylaw 2095-25 received first reading at the June 9, 2025 Regular Council meeting. It is available for review in the agenda document for that meeting at Wetaskiwin.ca.

If you wish to address Council on this matter, you must register to speak by contacting Planning and Development at the phone number or email address below, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

If you are unable to attend the public hearing, you may submit written comments to be presented to Council at the public hearing. Written submissions must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, and may be delivered to City Hall, emailed to emily.sangster@wetaskiwin.ca, or mailed to:
