You are invited to provide input on Bylaw 2093-25 and Bylaw 2094-25. These bylaws would change the land use designation and district of 5523 49 Avenue from residential to commercial to match those of 5527 49 Avenue following the consolidation of the two parcels into one lot.

Bylaw 2093-25 is proposed to amend the Municipal Development Plan to redesignate 5523 49 Avenue from Established Neighbourhood to Commercial. Bylaw 2094-25 is proposed to amend the Land Use Bylaw to redistrict 5523 49 Avenue from R2 Low Density Residential to C3 Highway Commercial.

Both bylaws received first reading at the June 9, 2025 Regular Council meeting. They are available for review in the agenda document for that meeting at Wetaskiwin.ca.

If you wish to address Council on this matter, you must register to speak by contacting Planning and Development at the phone number or email address below, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, you may submit written comments to be presented to Council at the public hearing.
