50 Year Community Vision

Consultation has concluded and the Fifty-Year Community Vision has been released. Way to go, Wetaskiwin!

#Wetaskiwin2070
Together we have the power to build a future that’s still rooted in the best of our past. To share ideas that enrich our spirits and strengthen our resolve to keep moving forward—together. Fueled by the insights of more than one thousand Wetaskiwinites, our community’s fifty-year vision is a testament to the power of uniting our voices in order to build a better future. It begins April 22, and you’re invited.

Thank you for helping envision the future of Wetaskiwin.

Stories

Did You Know? 70% of Wetaskiwin's population is at least a third generation Wetaskiwinite.

This means that our families have been here for a long, long while. It also means that they likely remember a very different Wetaskiwin from what it is now. We encourage you to ask your parents or grandparents (or even great grandparents!) about what they miss about Wetaskiwin's past--and we can see if there's a way to weave it into our collective future. Share their stories below and check out the other submissions!

Thank you for sharing your story with us!
