This partially developed area, identified in the City's 2024 Municipal Development Plan, currently lacks an Area Structure Plan.
The purpose of this project is to develop an Area Structure Plan (ASP) that will provide a long-term vision and regulatory framework to guide sustainable, orderly growth and development in this area. The plan will address technical complexities such as environmental remediation, infrastructure servicing (water, sanitary, stormwater), and transportation impacts.
The project involves extensive technical studies, community engagement, and coordination with municipal divisions to ensure the plan aligns with the City’s strategic priorities, including economic development, future development, environmental stewardship, and inclusivity.
The plan will be developed in three phases:
The project is scheduled for completion by July 2026, with the final plan enabling future development and investment in the plan area.
