The Evergreen Area Structure Plan has been adopted!
The City of Wetaskiwin has adopted the Evergreen Area Structure Plan for the Special Study Area in the northwest portion of the city. This Plan will help guide land use, development, and investment decisions in a way that supports the City’s goals for sustainable and orderly growth.
Thank you to everyone who shared their time, ideas, and feedback throughout the planning process. Your input helped shape a plan that reflects the community’s vision for the future of northwest Wetaskiwin.

Council will hold a Public Hearing to consider the proposed land use plan. Community members, landowners, and other interested parties are welcome to attend and share their thoughts with Council, either by speaking at the hearing or submitting written comments in advance. The proposed plan and supporting information will be available for review before the hearing. Following the Public Hearing, Council will have the option to formally adopt the ASP and associated amendments to the City's Municipal Development Plan.

ASP Adoption Bylaws - First Reading
The project team will present bylaws to Council to adopt the ASP and make several supporting amendments to the City's Municipal Development Plan. Council will hear the information and have the opportunity to ask questions before giving the first of three readings to the bylaws. The public is welcome to attend; please note that public input will take place at the public hearing at a later date.

Public Open House #2
The City is developing an Area Structure Plan to guide the long-term development of lands northeast of the airport and is inviting the community to review and provide feedback on the draft plan. Join us at a drop-in Open House to learn about the proposed policies, ask questions, and share your input with members of the project team.
